JSC Urbachsky GPP in Saratov
One of the largest producers of millet, wheat and pearl barley groats, and rye flour. The enterprise commands a seventy two thousand ton on site grain storage capacity with rail access and is characterized by highly efficient, modern equipment. The plant has a 36,000 ton grain processing capacity.
The Urbachsky Grain Production Plant was built in 1971 and is located in the area near the settlements of Pushkino (10.5 ha) and Zolotaya Steppe (5 ha) in the Saratov region. Plant facilities include a grain processing works, a grain reception center, industrial facilities and stores and a substation at Zolotaya Steppe.
The grain reception center consists of an operations tower and 4 silo structures with a capacity of 42,000 tons. Plant facilities were modernized in 2006. The Urbachsky GPP produces medium rye flour, assorted cereals including 1st class millet, premium millet, wheat, pearl-barley, peeled barley and also feed grade wheat, barley and rye.
